The Bitter Better Factor

The Bitter Better Factor

Dr. Ali Anani coins a new factor, which he termed The Bitter Better Factor (BBF) and which carries the title of a slideshare presentation that he uploaded recently. Dr. Anani ably discusses managerial decisions such as promotions and incentives that lead to poorer performances. The presentation shows that the main reason for this factor is the negligence of the emotional needs that are associated with the physical attributes of these managerial decisions. Physical improvements including financial improvements create new emotional needs in the future. The financial motives fall short of satisfying the fulfillment of emotional needs. Thus, managerial decisions tend to turn sweet lemon into a sour one, as the presentation states.
