It’s long been a saying on the Internet that “content is king”. But why is content so important?
Fresh, relevant content is essential for the success of every website. Providing valuable content keeps people coming back, increases trust in you and attracts links to your site. Keeping people coming back is good but the real benefits are increasing trust and attracting links. In addition to providing your target audience with information about your business or products, web content provides web crawlers with information about your website and where it should rank in a listing of relevant search results.
Within the social graph, content is everything. Text, posts, videos, blogs, pictures, etc are the currency we use to start conversations, provide value to others and maintain relationships. Everything in social media starts from content and much of the time it also ends there as well.
